Citywide Smart Parking Solution

Ruanjie Intelligent's citywide smart-parking solution uses IoT, AI, big data, visualisation and mobile terminals to create an integrated management model for on-street and off-street parking. 

With applications focused on safety, environmental protection and service quality, the solution improves resource utilisation and combines driver services, 

city parking management and decision support in one city-level management system.

On-street parking management models

Handheld POS management

The handheld POS terminal supports license plate recognition, space management, parking-ticket printing and electronic payment. When a vehicle parks,

 the attendant uses the POS terminal to photograph and recognise the plate, upload the record and print a parking ticket. When the vehicle leaves, 

the ticket QR code can be scanned, or the attendant can use the POS terminal for a second plate capture, fee calculation and electronic or cash payment.

 Each attendant can manage approximately 20 spaces.



Geomagnetic detection plus handheld POS management

A geomagnetic space detector is installed at each space and reports occupancy in real time to the attendant's POS terminal. 

The attendant receives vehicle-entry and vehicle-exit updates and combines the POS camera, recognition and printing functions to manage parking.

 Each attendant can manage approximately 50 spaces.


Fully video-based on-street space management

High-mounted video cameras and low-mounted video posts detect and recognise vehicles entering and leaving spaces around the clock.

 IoT transmission sends the parking information to the smart-parking platform in real time, supporting unattended on-street parking management.

 One high-mounted camera can manage up to eight spaces, while one low-mounted video post can manage up to two spaces.


Geomagnetic detection plus inspection-vehicle management

Inspection vehicles provide GPS positioning, AI recognition, automatic space-data collection and real-time IoT uploads. Combined with geomagnetic space detectors, 

they support real-time, semi-automated on-street parking management. Each inspection vehicle can manage approximately 300 spaces.



Parking-lock management

The parking lock detects vehicle entry automatically. After the free-parking period expires, the lock plate rises automatically.

 Drivers can scan a code to pay before leaving, after which the plate lowers automatically. The high-strength steel lock prevents fee evasion and supports unattended on-street parking fee collection.


Off-street parking management models

Unattended car-park entrance and exit management

The system combines AI recognition, smart barrier gates, remote service seats, electronic payments and e-invoices to manage off-street car-park entrances and exits without on-site attendants.

Video-based reverse car finding

Video space detection and automatic vehicle capture and recognition provide parking guidance and reverse vehicle finding in off-street car parks.

 The system supports fast parking and fast vehicle finding, improving space utilisation and driver satisfaction.

Integrated EV charging management

The solution integrates the vehicle, charger and parking space into one system. Platform integration enables systematic, digital,

 unattended and intelligent management, providing convenient and efficient charging services and an integrated charging solution for different car-park scenarios.


Citywide parking guidance

Front-end sensing devices collect space data, while the back-end platform processes it and outdoor guidance displays provide citywide

 parking guidance. A mobile public-service application provides parking guidance on smartphones.

Integrated smart management platform

The 3D smart-parking visualisation page shows managers the number of available spaces in each car park and area. 

GIS technology records the geographic information of spaces and car parks and displays their distribution across the city. 

Drivers can launch one-click route navigation to a space, helping solve parking difficulty.


The platform also provides a real-time smart-parking monitoring centre for operations departments. Managers can review space usage, 

parking revenue and vehicle information in an intuitive dashboard, providing evidence for space management and resource planning.


Public mobile application

Built on WeChat Official Accounts and WeChat Mini Programs, the public parking application integrates parking reservations, driving navigation, 

parking payment, invoice issuance, monthly-pass applications, parking-coupon collection, supplementary payments and charging management.


Integrated ETC fee-recovery system

The city-level system creates an accurate list of vehicles with outstanding parking fees using vehicle information and complete parking evidence collected by the front-end 

equipment. ETC antennas installed at road-parking exits and on major city roads read passing vehicles' OBU information. 

The ETC recovery platform matches outstanding vehicles, issues debit instructions and settles transactions, completing an intelligent parking-fee recovery loop.
